This is my attempt to creating functional-ware through Emily Carr in 2008. It is a lemonade set of three. One jug and two mugs. Each mug was custom built to fit perfectly in my hands. Resembling tree trunks with cut branches this piece speaks about urbanization through the stark white application, cut branches, and the objects themselves, a lemonade set. Don't get me wrong, I love white porcelain. I love the clean, sharp lines here. While glaze application is still something I need to work at, this piece remains lovely in it's process. One day, perhaps I'll continue with this idea.
